It was like looking into Mother Earth being born! The lava lake is big enough to hard boil an apartment building, and constantly emits a low-frequency growl as the lava boils with car-sized bubbles. The lake is a rare geologic phenomenon found only in a handful of volcanoes worldwide. Great Big Nature ventured to the summit for an overnight at the caldera’s edge to take it all in.
